Online Collaboration

Picture
Schoology is an LMS (learning management system) that has been purchased by Aldine.  Teachers will be able to create courses where they can upload videos and create assignments and quizzes for their classes.  It will be linked with Google, SMS and Gradebook

Google+ can be used similar to schoology to assist in flipped classroom.  You can create communities to collaborate with colleauges and/or students.

Google drive is a great tool to collaborate with colleagues and students.  You can create documents, presentations, spreadsheets, forms (questionnaires), and drawings.  It is easy to share your work with your colleagues and assignments with students.

Padlet allows you to create an online corkboard.  You can post things to the wall like questions, and have the students write their responses.  You could also use it to create a webquest with information about a specific topic.  Very user friendly!

Picture
Evernote is a great note taking tool to simplify any ones life!  You can download the app on your mobile device or go to the website on your computer.  Take notes wherever you are and open them on any of your devices.  You can type, write with a stylus pen, take pictures, take video, record sound and put all of it right into the same note!  You can also share your notes with colleagues or friends.

Edmodo is another way to communicate with colleagues and/or students.  It is a social media where you can post links, topics, photos, and resources for others to see.  When you create a group, all of the people in that group can see the resources that are posted to that group.  You can use it for online homework, lesson plan collaboration, etc.

Screen Leap allows you to share your screen instantly to any device with a browser, including laptops, netbooks, computers, smartphones, iPads, Android tablets, and more. There is no software to download or install and no registration required. The device you share must be capable of using Java, but it is not required on the other devices. There is a limit of sharing to up to eight devices in the free version.
