The Amazing Flubaroo

Grading....Debatable as the worst part about teaching!  It is a necessary piece of the puzzle, but why does it have to be so tedious??  Isn't there a way to not have to sit there all night grading classwork, homework, and projects?  That is a question that I am sure a lot of people have asked themselves after a couple hour haze of grading!  If you are using Google Apps and you don't know about Flubaroo, you are about to save yourself a lot of time!  You can use Google forms to create a quiz or assignment for your students to work on.  You will need to make all of the questions multiple choice or check boxes so that the grading program will work.  Once you have created your quiz, you need to go through and take the quiz yourself to use as the answer key.  Once you have done that, you can have your students start completing your assignment or quiz however you prefer.

Now that you have taken the quiz and your students have finished taking the quiz, you need to look at your spreadsheet with all of the answers.  Once looking at that spreadsheet, insert the script called Flubaroo.  The picture above shows you how to find it. Once installed, you will run the script on that assignment.  Click the button for Flubaroo and click grade assignment.  It will walk you through the steps of grading the assignment.  It gives you the option to change the point value for each question and then asks you which person you will use to grade the assignment.  That is why you have to answer the quiz first.  Once you have done that, just click grade assignment and you can view their scores!  The picture below is what it will look like once you have graded the assignment.  You can see that Billy got a 50% so he is in red while the other students are in Black who were above a 70%.  It also shows you which questions the students missed and the percentage for each question!  You can see that question 4, only 50% of the students got it right it is highlighted in yellow.  That would be a concept that needs to be retaught to make sure more of the students understand it.

Instead of spending all day and night creating quizzes and then grading those same quizzes, there is a much easier way to grade!  As with anything else, you will need to take the time to create the quiz or assignment, but the grading is now a breeze with Flubaroo!  I have showed this to several different teachers and the ones who have tried it out are in love with it!

We all tend to explain, comment on, or even assess a topic of study in an oral or mostly written form at many universities we study in to gain an occupation. Each of us prefers free thesis helper that would be a reasonable issue for the next few generations of students. Modern learning process is generally influenced by all fields of social life as well as politics and science. But luckily high-technologies are getting more sophisticated.

Only one click on grade assignment and I can view their scores! How interesting! As a rule, I am using Google Apps and don't know much about Flubaroo! I am about to save a lot of time from now!
